Patrick Tracy, Director of AthleticsFall sports are heading into the home stretch and playoffs, planning for winter and spring athletic seasons is well underway, and Pat Tracy has hit the ground running and not stopped since his hire in August as the new Director of Athletics and Head Men’s Varsity Lacrosse Coach for Saints Peter & Paul. Let’s meet the AD!

Before starting his new gig as Sabres AD, Pat was most recently at High Point University, where he served as Associate Head Lacrosse Coach for the past seven years. During his tenure, he helped build the university’s first Division I men’s lacrosse program, which has since won three conference championships, competed in the NCAA tournament, and bested traditional lacrosse Division I powerhouse teams. Tracy considers his most impactful accomplishment to be those off the field, citing his team’s tremendous success in the classroom and community, including mentoring over 100 locally and nationally recognized scholar athletes.

Tracy began his career as a lacrosse coach at Goucher College, and has also held coaching positions at Dartmouth College and the University of Maryland – Baltimore County. “I am proud to be the Director of Athletics at Saints Peter & Paul School. There is such a rich tradition of excellence at SSPP, not only in athletics but in the classroom and community. I look forward to building upon that tradition and setting a new standard of excellence for the athletic department. We want our student-athletes to stand out for all the right reasons, and have the knowledge and values that will allow them to be successful in everything they do in life.”

High School Principal James Nemeth commented, “We are thrilled to have Pat join the Saints Peter & Paul community as the Director of Athletics. Pat’s attention to detail, passion for athletics, his coaching and professional background, and his organizational and communication skills will be a huge asset in taking the Sabres athletic program to the next level!”
